A Connection Made

A cross over, a bridge for landing, an unpinned path made for us to join stable forces. As we build our lives toward each other, we rely on support just like arches that lift up bridges to stay in one place in one portrayal to set a sturdy balance. A rainbow will show its face completed. Diamonds amongst the stones get noticed. Two beats that traced their way back to each other and joined forces between two sleeping hearts. A soulmate made it safely to my house, my home, my heart.

Long into the future we will be guided like two kites in the sky. If you sprain a leg-crutches support you, if your teeth don’t align a brace keeps them on the straight and narrow, everything available in life is built to support unfilled holes with cold feet not fitting in them. A prompt from a suited guide. How each brick space refilled in a wall that kept crumbling but I needed the cracks to see a light that was trying to find us. A house built by cement but concealed with true promises.

Rocks outstand hardship but erode after too many years of endurance, you can’t always be a rock. It is good to crumble in trifling conflict like the way water seems powerless to break rock but it does through consistency so check in on how one and another is doing. There is hidden strength left in us- a tiny flame of grace flickers on and off for a reason to show us we can’t do this life journey on our own. God pushed us together combining our spark to reignite and like a patch of grassland that has burnt and became faded from too much sun- We also need rain to survive in order to humble ourselves in both the dry days and the wet days both are created for balance. This is why grey colours contrast fantastic with earthy tones and soft pastels. The grey days count and only when you gaze your memory over them you realise slowly, they had intent, they had motive, they were working for you not against you.

Entirely flat dismal performance but far from featureless, he grins back at my acted out comical storytelling- I married the best sense of humour I ever met. We matched like two odd socks; we were happy in our own skin together.

The swamp sunk into the background, trees making it the main focal point. Dark greens and mystical colours forming. Muddy leaves, marshy wet lands, freshwater draining from the swamp banks. Wooden seats made from branches, inviting us to sit near tangled flowers. Together we went missing on hikes, trails that brought us to reflective havens.

Different shades of green making a ‘summer wonderland’- through a valley of wooded walkways, enabling feet to enter them. Visions increasing faster. A swamp formed so pretty off a large river creating sheltered valleys. Wetlands and coastal landscapes gave an escape for snakes to rest from the busy bees. Thoughts are forced to sleep which is welcomed. Illusions formed into real moments, sitting there on the side of the bank sharing a rock made into a double seating area as the picnic became open by Charlie – a red bottle of wine greeted the nature that surrounded our laughter. Nothing beats a plan not planned or prewarned by yourself. The plans that unwind with no deadlines are the charming ones that never leave your body. They enter space, they are timeless. Two inner voices enhancing the one message going in the one direction together as one. Two peas in a pod but we both agree on who made the pod, unwarranted love is not enough, compatibility and morales matched.

‘Breathing in through your nose gradually through four concentrated counts, holding for two extended seconds. Exhaling out gradually, this technique clears moments to let go in. This walk left stones of worry behind. Thoughts you react to can become distant with mindful practice; know your triggers’-Charlie was the best at inner talk but spoke it out loudly.

‘Your weaknesses can make you want to stop healing, don’t be always so pleasing. Eyes will lighten, the frightened stare will be removed, replaced by a radiance’- a man with inner wisdom smiled back at me.
